Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
How to make buttermilk biscuits:
By hand, mix all ingredients. Roll out on floured board. Cut with cutter. Place on greased sheet. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes approximately 20 biscuits.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Rolls/biscuits.
