- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 2 c
- brown sugar, packed - 2 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- seeded raisins - 1 pkg
How to make butterless, eggless, milkless cake:
Bring to a boil (5 minutes) all ingredients, except the flour and baking soda. Cool completely. Add flour and soda mixed in a teaspoon of hot water. Put in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375° for about 1 hour. Test with toothpick.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low cholesterol.
