  • sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 1 item
  • cake yeast - 1 item
  • lukewarm water - 1 c
  • butter flavor shortening - 1/4 c

How to make butterhorn rolls:

Scald 1 cup milk and sugar, salt and shortening; cool. Add yeast to water. Add beaten egg and 1 cup flour. Add 1 cup flour and beat well. Add enough flour for soft dough. Mix well. Let raise once until double. Form into rolls. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes or until done or golden brown.
