Butterhorn rolls



  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • scalded milk - 1 c
  • yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c - 1 pkg

How to make butterhorn rolls:

Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs and salt. Add yeast and milk. Blend. Add flour. Knead until smooth. Let rise, covered, in refrigerator overnight. The next day, roll in a circle; spread with butter. Slice into pie wedges. Roll each slice from outer edge toward center. Let rise. Bake at 350°.
