Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- scalded milk - 1 c
- yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c - 1 pkg
How to make butterhorn rolls:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs and salt. Add yeast and milk. Blend. Add flour. Knead until smooth. Let rise, covered, in refrigerator overnight. The next day, roll in a circle; spread with butter. Slice into pie wedges. Roll each slice from outer edge toward center. Let rise.
