Ingredients/Components
- yeast - 2 pkg
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- warm water
- shortening - 1/2 c
- flour
How to make butterflake rolls:
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup water. Cream sugar and shortening. Add 1 cup water, eggs and yeast. Stir in flour and salt. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.Roll out thin like jelly roll. Spread with soft butter and roll up. Stretch to same thickness. Cut and dip in butter and put, butter side up, in greased muffin tins. Let rise 3 hours. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
