- butter not margarine - 1/4 c
- real vanilla - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pie dough - 1 item
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- water - 6 Tbsp
- currants - 1 c
How to make butter tarts:
Mix all ingredients, except currants. Simmer, stirring quite often. Roll pie dough and cut in circles (large) to fit either cup cake or muffin tins. Put in 1 heaping teaspoon of currant into each and 1 spoon liquid over currants until 2/3 full. Cook 25 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, American.
