Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- Pinch of salt - 1 item
- stick butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 item
- cream or evaporated milk - 4 Tbsp
- raisins, currants, or chopped dates - 1 c
- Rich pastry to line muffin tins - 1 item
How to make butter tarts:
Mix all ingredients together. Line muffin tins with a rich pastry. Fill only 2/3 full with above filling. Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, American.
