Butter pecan turtle bars
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 2/3 c
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- pecan halves - 1 c
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 1 c
How to make butter pecan turtle bars:
Mix flour, 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter to fine crumbs. Pat into ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over crust in pan. Cook 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar over medium heat until entire surface boils. Boil for 1/2 to 1 minute. Pour evenly over pecans in pan. Bake at 350° for 18 to 22 minutes, until entire surface is bubbly and crust is golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let chips melt and swirl them as they melt.
