Butter pecan ice cream
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 2 c
- pkg - 2 3/4
- butter or margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
- cans evaporated milk - 3 oz
- sweet milk - 2 qt
How to make butter pecan ice cream:
Saute pecans in butter, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes, or until toasted. Set aside to cool. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour into freezer can of 1 1/2 or 2-gallon hand turned or electric freezer. Freeze about 10 minutes or until cream is thick. Remove dasher and add pecans to ice cream mixture. Return dasher. Freeze until firm. Let ripen at least 1 hour. Yields about 1 1/2 gallons.Recipe categories: Desserts, Frozen desserts, Fruit.
