Butter pecan bars
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 3/4 c
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- flour
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- light brown sugar
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- coconut - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make butter pecan bars:
Cream butter, sugar and salt together. Add flour. Pat into 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes, until light brown.Beat eggs; stir in brown sugar, pecans, coconut, vanilla and dash of salt.
Take crust from oven, spread topping over crust. Put back in oven. Reduce heat to 350°. Bake 20 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar while hot. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars. This freezes well.
