  • shortening - 1 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • plain flour
  • self-rising flour - 1/2 c
  • sweet milk - 1 c
  • eggs, unbeaten - 4 item
  • butternut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
  • brown sugar
  • stick butter - 1/2 item
  • cream - 1/4 c
  • flour - 1 tsp
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item

How to make butter nut cake:

Icing:1 c. brown sugar1/2 stick butter1/4 c. cream1 tsp. flour1 box powdered sugar Beat shortening, sugar and 1 cup flour for 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients for the cake and beat until smooth. Cook 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°.

For icing, bring brown sugar, butter, cream and flour to a boil. Beat in the box of powdered sugar.
