Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 1 c
- sugar - 2 c
- plain flour
- self-rising flour - 1/2 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
- eggs, unbeaten - 4 item
- butternut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- cream - 1/4 c
- flour - 1 tsp
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
How to make butter nut cake:
Icing:1 c. brown sugar1/2 stick butter1/4 c. cream1 tsp. flour1 box powdered sugar Beat shortening, sugar and 1 cup flour for 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients for the cake and beat until smooth. Cook 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325°.For icing, bring brown sugar, butter, cream and flour to a boil. Beat in the box of powdered sugar.
