Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- eggs - 3 item
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- warm water - 3/4 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- tsp salt - 1 item
- tbsp sugar - 1 item
How to make butter flake rolls:
Combine 1 c. flour, 1 tbsp sugar, dry yeast, and warm water; mix well. Cover, let rise until light and bubbly 20 to 30 minutes. Combine butter, sugar, salt, and eggs; beat until well-blended. Add yeast mixture. Gradually add flour for a stiff dough. Knead on floured surface about 30 strokes. Cover; let rise until double in size. Punch down and divide in half. Roll out each half on floured surface to an 8x12 in. Cut in 3 in. strips. Roll each strip in melted butter. Coil each. Let rise until double in size.
