Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 2/3 item
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla
- cake flour or 2 3/4 c - 3 c
- baking powder
- salt - 1 tsp
- milk
How to make butter cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches or three 8-inch round layer pans. In large mixer bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Beat 5 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally. On low speed, mix flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk; pour into pans. Bake oblong at 450° for 50 minutes, layers at 300° for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
