Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- honey - 2 Tbsp
- melted butter or oil - 1 Tbsp
- sifted whole wheat pastry flour - 3/4 c
- sifted buckwheat flour - 3/4 c
How to make buckwheat pancakes:
Beat together egg yolks, honey, milk and butter or oil. Sift together flours, salt and baking powder. Stir egg yolk mixture into flour mixture. Beat egg whites until they are stiff, shiny peaks. Fold into batter. Heat frying pan; spoon in batter. Cook until bubbles and edges are browning. Flip.Recipe categories: Pancakes and waffles, Breakfast, Grains.
