Bubble bread
Ingredients/Components
- scalded milk - 3/4 c
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- egg - 1 item
- butter, melted - 3/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 5 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- lukewarm water - 1/4 c
- flour
How to make bubble bread:
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; set aside. Pour scalded milk over 1 cup sugar, shortening and salt. Add egg to milk. Add all together and mix well. Add 1/2 flour to mixture. Mix well. Let dough rise until doubled.Punch down and form walnut size balls. Dip in melted butter and then in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place in Bundt style pan. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake for 25 minutes at 325°. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes, then invert on plate.
