Ingredients/Components

  • scalded milk - 3/4 c
  • shortening - 3 Tbsp
  • yeast - 1 pkg
  • egg - 1 item
  • butter, melted - 3/4 c
  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 5 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • lukewarm water - 1/4 c
  • flour

How to make bubble bread:

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; set aside. Pour scalded milk over 1 cup sugar, shortening and salt. Add egg to milk. Add all together and mix well. Add 1/2 flour to mixture. Mix well. Let dough rise until doubled.

Punch down and form walnut size balls. Dip in melted butter and then in cinnamon/sugar mixture. Place in Bundt style pan. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake for 25 minutes at 325°. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes, then invert on plate.
