Brussels sprouts and carrots
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- honey - 1 Tbsp
- ground ginger - 1/8 tsp
- orange juice - 2 Tbsp
- Brussels sprouts - 2 c
- medium carrots, cut in bite size pieces - 3 item
How to make brussels sprouts and carrots:
Cut large Brussels sprouts in half. Heat 1/2 cup water, lightly salted, to boiling. Add sprouts and carrots. Return to boiling. Reduce heat. Cook, covered, 10 to 15 minutes or until tender-crisp; drain. Return to saucepan.Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; heat to boiling. Pour over vegetables; stir gently to coat. Makes 4 servings. Serve with broiled chicken breasts!!!!
