Ingredients/Components

  • loaf French bread - 1 item
  • tomatoes do not refrigerate for best flavor, chunked up - 2 item
  • garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • olive oil
  • or more Parmesan - 1/2 c
  • oregano to taste - 1 item
  • white cheese of choice - 1 item

How to make bruschetta:

Slice and butter French bread. Brown/toast bread in oven. Slice tomatoes; drizzle olive oil over tomatoes. Mix in garlic, salt, pepper, oregano and Parmesan. Slice white cheese and lay slice on toasted French bread. Cover top of bread/cheese with tomato mixture. Return to oven and melt cheese. Serve warm if possible; works as an appetizer or main dish.
