Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 6 item
  • milk - 2 c
  • slices French bread, cubed - 2 item
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 c
  • hot bulk sausage, browned and drained - 1 lb
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • minced parsley optional - 2 Tbsp

How to make brunch casserole:

Beat eggs, milk, salt, mustard and nutmeg. Add parsley, bread, sausage and cheese. Pour into a buttered 9 X 13 casserole. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes (325° if using glass pan). Let stand a few minutes before serving. Serves 6-8 generously.
