Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- chopped walnuts
- sq - 4 oz
How to make brownies:
Melt chocolate with shortening. Cool. Sift together flour with powder and salt. Beat eggs until light; add sugar, then chocolate mixture. Blend. Add flour, vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.Recipe categories: Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie, Brownies.
