Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- cold water - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
- unsweetened cocoa powder - 2 Tbsp
- powdered sugar - 1 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped walnuts or pecans - 2 Tbsp
How to make brownies:
Melt margarine; stir in sugar, water and vanilla. Add flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into an 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool thoroughly. Remove from pan and cut into 8 bars. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 8 servings.Per Serving: 104 Calories, 4 g. Fat, 0 mg. Cholesterol and 68 mg. Sodium.
