Ingredients/Components

  • sifted flour - 2 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cubes margarine - 2 item
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • Melt the margarine, cocoa and water together

  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp

How to make brownie cake:

Put in bowl sifted flour, sugar and soda. Melt the margarine, cocoa and water together. Bring to a full boil and pour over flour mixture. Add the eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. Mix together. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes in a 9 x 12-inch pan.Chocolate-Sour Cream Frosting:6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips1/2 c. sour cream1/4 tsp. salt1 c. chopped walnuts4 Tbsp. butter or margarine1 tsp. vanilla2 1/2 to 2 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar Melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat. Remove from heat; blend in sour cream, vanilla and salt. Gradually add sifted powdered sugar to make spreading consistency; beat well. Spread chopped nuts on cake.
