- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 lb
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- cake flour - 3 c
How to make brown sugar pound cake:
Cream the butter, sugars and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add to mixture. Add milk, vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased tube pan. Bake at 250° or 300° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
