Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- sifted powdered sugar
- margarine - 1 c
- hot water - 2 Tbsp
How to make brown-eyed susans:
Icing:1 c. sifted powdered sugar2 Tbsp. cocoa2 Tbsp. hot water1/2 tsp. vanilla Cream margarine; add sugar, almond extract, flour and salt. Mix well. Take a level tablespoon of mixture and roll into ball. Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes. When cool, put 1/2 teaspoon of icing on each cookie and top with almond half (optional).Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cookie and brownie.
