Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- dark brown sugar - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- raisins - 1 c
- margarine - 3 Tbsp
How to make brown bread:
Simmer raisins in water (covered 50 to 60 minutes). Mix flour, sugar, salt, margarine, egg and baking soda. Then add raisins and any water left in pan. Be sure to add a little water if needed.
