Ingredients/Components
- large ripe tomatoes - 2 item
- soft bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- dried crushed basil - 1/4 tsp
How to make broiled tomatoes:
Preheat broiler. Halve each tomato crosswise. Place, cut side up, in a shallow baking pan. Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, butter and basil; sprinkle over tomatoes. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat source for about 4 minutes, or until lightly browned.Recipe categories: Low protein, Vegetables, Tomato.
