Broccoli salad



  • vinegar - 2 tsp
  • mayonnaise
  • to 4 green onions, chopped - 3 item
  • pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
  • large bunch broccoli - 1 item
  • pimento for color - 1 item
  • bacon pieces, cooked and broken - 1/2 c
  • sugar honey may be substituted - 1 c

How to make broccoli salad:

Dressing:1/2 c. mayonnaise1 c. sugar (honey may be substituted)2 tsp. vinegar Wash broccoli and cut into small flowerets. (Some stem may be used if very tender.) Add chopped green onion, pecan pieces and bacon. This can be mixed ahead, leaving out bacon and dressing until ready to serve.

Dressing: Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise and sugar (or honey), then add vinegar. Chill. When ready to serve, pour dressing over salad, just enough to coat. Stir as you pour. Add bacon.
