Broccoli salad
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1/3 c
- cider vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- celery seed - 3/4 tsp
- dry mustard - 3/4 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- white or black pepper - 1 item
- fresh broccoli
- bunch green onions, cut into 1/2-inch pieces - 1 item
- pimento stuffed olives, sliced - 1 c
- sliced water chestnuts, drained - 1 can
How to make broccoli salad:
Combine first 7 ingredients in small bowl; set aside. Trim off large leaves of broccoli and remove tough ends. Cut stalks into 1/4-inch slices. Cut remaining broccoli into flowerets. Place in large salad bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Pour dressing over top; toss gently to coat. Cover and chill one hour. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
