Broccoli-cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- frozen broccoli, chopped - 1 pkg
- medium carrot, grated - 1 item
- butter - 2 3
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- milk - 2 c
- American cheese, grated * - 1/2 1
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make broccoli-cheese soup:
In a small pan, heat water and bouillon cube to boiling. Add broccoli and carrots. Cook 5 minutes; remove from heat but do not drain. In a large pot, melt butter and slowly stir in the flour. Gradually add milk. Cook until thickened. Stir in cheese, soup, onion, sauce and pepper. Add the broccoli and cheese mixture.*Add amount of cheese to suit the taste. One pound of cheese is very cheesy.
