Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1 c
  • chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
  • frozen broccoli, chopped - 1 pkg
  • medium carrot, grated - 1 item
  • butter - 2 3
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • American cheese, grated * - 1/2 1
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • pepper to taste - 1 item

How to make broccoli-cheese soup:

In a small pan, heat water and bouillon cube to boiling. Add broccoli and carrots. Cook 5 minutes; remove from heat but do not drain. In a large pot, melt butter and slowly stir in the flour. Gradually add milk. Cook until thickened. Stir in cheese, soup, onion, sauce and pepper. Add the broccoli and cheese mixture.

*Add amount of cheese to suit the taste. One pound of cheese is very cheesy.
