Broccoli cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
- American cheese - 1 lb
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- medium carrot, grated - 1 item
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
In saucepan, dissolve bouillon cube and water. Add broccoli and carrot. Cook until tender. Do not drain. In another saucepan, melt butter and slowly stir in flour. Continue stirring while gradually adding the milk. Stir in the cheese, soup, onion flakes, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Add the broccoli mixture to the white sauce mixture and cook over medium to low heat until the soup is desired thickness. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Cheese, Soups & stews.
