- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 1 c
- frozen broccoli - 10 oz
- American pasteurized cheese - 1 c
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
In saucepan, cook broccoli with onion in chicken broth until tender. Do not drain. While broccoli is cooking, blend butter and flour in another saucepan. Stir in milk and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add salt, pepper and cheese. Heat until cheese melts. Add vegetables to mixture.
