Broccoli cheese soup



  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 6 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 6 c
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper to taste - 1 item
  • onion, chopped - 3/4 c
  • chicken bouillon cubes - 6 item
  • pasteurized process cheese, cubed - 1 lb

How to make broccoli cheese soup:

In a Dutch oven, saut? onion in butter. Add water and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil and gradually add noodles and salt. Cook uncovered for 3 minutes. Stir in broccoli and garlic powder. Cook for an additional 3 minutes and stir in milk. Add cheese and pepper and stir until cheese is melted.

Variation: Use 2 tablespoons salad oil instead of butter, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/8 teaspoon seasoned salt.
