Broccoli cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 6 c
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 6 c
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 3/4 c
- chicken bouillon cubes - 6 item
- pasteurized process cheese, cubed - 1 lb
How to make broccoli cheese soup:
In a Dutch oven, saut?© onion in butter. Add water and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil and gradually add noodles and salt. Cook uncovered for 3 minutes. Stir in broccoli and garlic powder. Cook for an additional 3 minutes and stir in milk. Add cheese and pepper and stir until cheese is melted.Variation: Use 2 tablespoons salad oil instead of butter, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/8 teaspoon seasoned salt.
