Broccoli casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- margarine - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 2 c
- rice - 1 c
- chopped bell pepper - 1 item
- jar Cheez Whiz - 1 oz
- Cheddar cheese - 1 item
- cans mushroom soup - 2 item
- boxes chopped broccoli - 2 oz
How to make broccoli casserole:
Saute in 1 cup margarine until soft the onion, celery and pepper. Add the frozen chopped broccoli and the mushroom soup. Cook the rice in 2 cups water with 1 teaspoon butter and the salt for about 15 minutes. Add Cheez Whiz to rice. Mix all together with sauteed mixture. Put into lightly buttered casserole; top with grated Cheddar cheese. Bake for 40 minutes at 300°. Makes 4 quarts.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Broccoli.
