Broccoli casserole



  • milk - 1/4 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • grated cheese - 1 c
  • finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • cooked rice - 3 c
  • frozen broccoli, chopped - 1 pkg

How to make broccoli casserole:

Cheese Sauce:1 c. milk1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 Tbsp. butter1/2 tsp. salt2/3 c. grated cheese Mix rice, broccoli and onions. Add light touch of salt and pepper. Place in casserole baking dish. Pour cheese sauce over top and stir. Dot with butter or margarine and sprinkle grated cheese over the top. Pour milk over all and bake in 350° oven 35 to 40 minutes. Uncover the last 10 minutes.
