Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 5 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
  • chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • catsup - 4 Tbsp
  • prepared mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice or ReaLemon - 1 Tbsp

How to make broasted chicken:

Heat and blend thoroughly. Dip chicken in flour, then in sauce. Place in pan. Pour remainder of sauce over meat. Cover and bake in 450° oven 15 minutes. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done in a 325° oven.

Soak 1 cut up fryer in brine of scant 1/4 cup Tender Quick to 1 quart of water overnight. Do not salt your chicken before baking.
