Ingredients/Components

  • slices bacon, cooked - 14 item
  • onion, chopped - 1/4 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • Swiss cheese, grated - 3/4 c
  • can mushrooms - 4 oz
  • eggs - 3 item
  • milk - 2 c
  • plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • basil - 1/4 tsp
  • pastry shells - 2 (9

How to make breakfast quiche:

Crumble 10 pieces bacon. Set aside. Saute onion and green pepper in butter. Alternate a layer of the cheese, bacon, onion and pepper mixture, and mushrooms on each pastry shell. In a small bowl blend together lightly beaten eggs, milk, flour, salt, Worcestershire sauce and basil. Pour half the mixture over each pie. Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes. It is done when knife comes out clean.
