Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- flour plain
- soft shortening, use part margarine - 1/3 c
- Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full of batter
How to make breakfast puffs:
Mix all ingredients together well. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full of batter. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 12 (2-inch) muffins or 36 small muffins. While baking, make topping:Topping:1/2 c. margarine1 c. sugar2 tsp. cinnamon Melt margarine and set aside. Mix together sugar and cinnamon. Immediately after puffs are taken from oven, dip tops on melted margarine, then dip in sugar and cinnamon mix (can do the whole puff this way if you life).Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Brunch.
