Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- soft shortening - 1/3 c
- oleo, melted - 6 Tbsp
How to make breakfast puffs:
Mix shortening, 1/2 cup of sugar and egg. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg together. Stir into shortening mixture with milk. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350°. Immediately remove from pans, roll in butter, then in 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon mixture.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Brunch.
