Breakfast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- milk - 2 c
- sour cream - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- salsa - 1 item
- onion - 1 item
- green pepper - 1 item
- jar Cheez Whiz - 1 item
- Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- sausage, bacon or ham - 2 lb
- to 4 slices white bread or hash browns - 3 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Cook meat and drain; butter 9 x 13 pan. Put in layer of white bread cubes or hash browns. Put meat on top of bread or hash browns. Add layer of Cheddar cheese. Pour over the mixture: 4 beaten eggs, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 cups milk. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325° for 1 hour (covered). Add onion and green peppers to top. Also add microwaved Cheez Whiz on top. Also can add sour cream and salsa for topping.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
