Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- sausage - 1 lb
- slices bread, in small pieces - 6 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Crumble and brown sausage. Drain and cool. Place in bottom of a buttered, 9 x 13 x 2-inch glass baking dish. Beat eggs and milk together. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour over sausage. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered, for 40 to 50 minutes at 350°. Let stand a few minutes before cutting.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
