  • eggs - 6 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 8 oz
  • slices bread - 12 item
  • shredded Swiss cheese - 8 oz
  • sausage - 2 lb
  • half and half cream or whole milk - 1 qt

How to make breakfast casserole:

Put 6 slices of bread on bottom of extra large casserole dish. Brown sausage and drain. Spread 1/2 of sausage on bread. Spread 1/2 of cheese over sausage. Layer again. Beat eggs; add milk and salt. Pour over mix. Cook, uncovered, for 1 hour at 350°. Can be prepared the night before, put in refrigerator and cooked the next morning. Serves 8 to 10.
