Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 6 item
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- grated cheese - 1 c
- half and half or milk - 2 c
- brown, scrambled sausage - 1 lb
- pieces bread, crusts cut off - 6 item
How to make breakfast casserole:
Butter bottom of deep Pyrex dish. Butter both sides of bread; place on bottom of dish. Mix together other ingredients, except cheese; pour on top of bread. Sprinkle cheese on top. Refrigerate overnight. Cook at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes, or until lightly browned. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
