Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- onion, chopped - 1/3 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/3 c
- sharp cheese, grated - 1/4 lb
- Velveeta cheese, grated - 1/4 lb
- ground sausage - 2 c
- grits - 1 c
How to make breakfast casserole:
Cook grits in water with salt for 5 to 6 minutes. Brown sausage in a skillet, then drain. In a large bowl, combine grits, sausage and all other ingredients. Mix well. Pour into a casserole dish. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
