Ingredients/Components
- margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- small onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/2 lb
- cans buttermilk biscuits - 3 oz
- small green pepper, finely chopped - 1 item
- mild grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
How to make breakaway vegetable bread:
Cut biscuits into quarters. Dip each piece in margarine and layer 1/3 of the biscuits in a lightly greased 10-inch Bundt pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 bacon, cheese, onion and green pepper. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with biscuits. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Yield: 1 (10-inch) loaf.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Weeknight.
