Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- bread crumbs - 2 c
- milk, scalded - 4 c
How to make bread pudding:
Sauce:2/3 c. sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 c. boiling water2 Tbsp. butter1 Tbsp. vanilla Beat eggs until light. Add sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Stir in bread crumbs and milk. Pour into greased baking dish. Sprinkle raisins on top. Bake in a 350° oven until center is set.Sauce: Add sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook until thick. Add butter and vanilla. Serve over pudding.
