Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- egg yolks - 2 item
- powdered sugar
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 8 Tbsp
- pecan pieces - 1/2 c
- loaf French bread, crumbled - 1 (10
- Pour into a 9 x 12-inch baking dish
How to make bread pudding:
Combine all ingredients; mixture should be very moist but not soupy. Pour into a 9 x 12-inch baking dish. Place into non-preheated oven. Bake at 350° for one hour.Lemon Sauce:1/2 c. butter1 1/2 c. powdered sugar2 egg yolks2 Tbsp. lemon juice Cream butter and sugar over medium heat until all butter is absorbed. Remove from heat and blend in egg yolks. Pour in lemon juice, stirring constantly. Sauce will thicken as it cools. Serve warm over bread pudding.
