- bell peppers - 2 item
- coarse or plain salt - 1/3 c
- ice - 1 item
- sugar - 5 c
- distilled vinegar white or red - 3 c
- turmeric
- celery seed
- mustard seed - 1 Tbsp
- cucumbers small to medium, sliced thin - 3 qt
- small yellow squash, sliced thin - 1 qt
- green sweet bell peppers, sliced thin - 2 item
- red sweet bell peppers, sliced thin - 2 item
- medium onions, sliced thin - 6 item
- carrots, sliced thin - 2 item
- salt pickling salt if possible - 1/2 c
