Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 4 c
• salt - 4 tsp
• vinegar - 5 c
• celery seed - 2 tsp
• medium onions - 10 item
• medium cucumbers - 30 item
• turmeric - 1 tsp
• white mustard seed - 2 tsp

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Slice cucumbers; sprinkle with salt and let stand 1 hour over ice. Add onions to cucumbers. Let spices and vinegar boil; add cucumber mixture. Cook until tender. Process 10 minutes.
