Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 c
- vinegar - 5 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- bell peppers - 2 item
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- medium onions - 9 item
- medium cucumbers - 14 item
- mustard seed - 2 tsp
- turmeric
- canning salt - 1/2 c
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Add the ingredients that have been soaking for 3 hours. Let simmer until rinds turn brown. Do not let boil. Seal in jars.Recipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
