  • salt - 1/3 c
  • vinegar - 3 c
  • cloves garlic - 3 item
  • celery seed
  • medium onions, sliced - 6 item
  • mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
  • turmeric
  • sliced cucumbers - 4 pt

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Slice cucumbers thin. Add onions, garlic and salt. Cover with ice. Let stand 3 hours. Drain. Combine with remaining ingredients and heat to a boil.
