- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1 qt
- celery seed - 2 Tbsp
- large cucumbers - 25 item
- turmeric - 2 Tbsp
- medium white onions - 12 item
- white mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Cook unpeeled cucumbers in water overnight. Slice cucumbers and onions and place in pan and sprinkle with salt; let stand 1 hour and rinse.
